taste - preposition Options

Hello!

Is the right preposition "in" or "to" in a context like this? -

This is a bit too spicy in my taste / to my taste.

Actually, it's neither - it's "for". I think it's because we say "That's too hot/spicy/bland etc FOR me." So people use the same preposition with "my taste", even if it doesn't stand up to strict grammatical accuracy.

Hello Kirill.

As you already have the answer, I thought I'd add a couple of things based on your original question.

You asked about using "in" or "to".

I don't know why - it's one of the mysteries of the universe - but different nouns have different prepositions in almost the same sentence.

It is too spicy for my taste.
It is too spicy in my opinion.
It is too spicy, to my mind.
