One should never trust a woman who tells one her real age. A woman who would tell one that, would tell one anything. Oscar Wilde (1854-1900)

I’ve never understood this quotation. Why shouldn’t we trust an open and honest woman?

Funny observation. In my opinion, if a woman tells you her age, she either does not regard herself as a woman, or she does not regard you as a male.

Oscar Wilde (1854-1900) How should one know that one had been told a woman's real age, for one never to trust her? Only Lord Illingworth would, but he can't be trusted. A Woman of No Importance
