Muscuranic receptors are found on nerve endings to smooth muscles cells, secretory glands and the eye. They are also found in the central nervous system.

please explain to me the use and meaning of "to" in "endings to smooth..."? Can we not say "endings of smooth muscles"?

No, because that implies possession. Smooth muscles do not have nerve endings. They are not nerve endings of smooth muscles.

The nerve goes to the muscle cell. There, there is a nerve ending.
It is the nerve ending to the muscle, like the entrance to a building or a door to the outside.

It is definition 10, in which the "to" phrase can relate directly to a noun:

The Japanese ambassador to France
The key to the door
The solution to this problem
Nerve endings to smooth muscle cells...
