hi. I have the text in my kids book:

Mr. Rosel signed. "I hope he's alive. For his sake, of course, but for ours as well. Our business comes from his fans."
"If he's dead, won't people still come?"
He nodded. "Maybe even more will come. I've thought about some kind of memorial, but I certainly hope it doesn't come to that."
"You must be a big fan," Bryce said.
"It's why I bought this place. Mr. Konig captures our fears in such a human way. I hope we haven't read the last of his works."

Can you explain to me what "human way" means here? I think there is some hidden sense in this phrase.
Thanks.

I read it as meaning warm, empathic, sympathetic, understanding.
Without any more context I cannot see a hidden meaning or subtext.

I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger. (Anon)

I don't see any hidden meanings either - it's quite a common things to say.

It means that he doesn't write in a metaphorical way, or an existential way; he doesn't try to show off and use impressive-sounding words; he isn't didactic. All these things are fine in literature- but that's not the way *he* writes.

He writes just as if he was one person sitting down and talking to another person on exactly the same level.
