As some of you might know, we Finns are world's no.1 coffee drinkers. So, this article in BBC News made me think.

http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20171106-the-disease-that-could-change-how-we-drink-coffee

I can't have my breakfast downed without two mugs of coffee and a printed newspaper (Helsingin Sanomat).

I am belonging to those few happy who now may drink coffee on leaving the Lidl shop, brewed inside of Lidl shop in a vending machine. For example, MokkaDrool

Interesting results of the survey...
I would bet on beer consumption in Finland as somewhere in the upper level of the scale, but coffee makes me amazed.

Not sure if this is what we should be proud of, but Czech beer is really good and the Czech word for beer (pivo) is usually the first Czech word many foreigners learn after coming to our countryWhistle

First bananas. Now coffee! Noooo.

:)

Love the map. Wish I could read some of the smaller countries.

We drink quite a bit of coffee throughout the day, but when I'm not drinking coffee it's tea. Our coffee is from Honduras and the family has diversified into a couple of hybrids that are rust resistant for now, but they are also getting into barley in order to hedge their bets long term.

Personally, I like the Castillo even more than the pure Arabica. I don't know if it's because we percolate instead of drip or because I tend to like a very dark roast, but we've stuck with this coffee for almost 10 years.

Thanks, JJ. I see Mexico is lightning capital. I thought that was Florida.

I once heard somebody say about Danes: "Danes don't drink coffee - they simply gulp it down!".

Looking at the amount of coffee consumed per capita in Denmark there may be some truth to that... Think
