The Tunisian government has announced several measures to give women more equality with men.

It's nice to hear some good news for a change, though sad to hear the criticism from some (male) Muslim leaders.

Great! Kudos. There shouldn't be any discrimination between men and women. Some sections (obviously men only) in the name of religion and its protection do raise stern objection and rally to scuttle the Right Cause. Nothing should deter such Just Causes. I wish the President and his supporters a thumping success. May Allah bless them.

Gender equality will only be reached if we are able to empower women.

Tunisia's been impressive in recent years re: democracy and freedom. Good for them! Maybe they can serve as an example.

I particularly enjoy the idiom section of this fine website.
