I would like to lecture about the following points:

1. The Buddhist terminology of netherworld,
2. The Buddhist concept of “Chu-u”, which is “intermediate existence”,
3. The distinctive feature of “intermediate existence”,
4. Near-death experience.

1. The Buddhist terminology of netherworld;

4. Near-death experience.

Which set is correctly punctuated - the first set with commas at the end of the first three sentences or the second with semi-colons?

Thanks.

Either (or neither) choice seems clear enough, but I don't recommend using the commas because there's already a comma in item 2.

Since each item in the list is numbered and on its own separate line, there's really no need of any punctuation except the period (full stop) at the end of the list.

I agree with NKM mostly. Punctuation doesn't have many "rules", but there are lots of "opinions" and "suggestions" and "guides" - which often disagree with each other! Brick wall

Both seem perfectly clear - but the semi-colons would probably be preferred because one of the items has a comma in it already.

I wouldn't leave the lines with no punctuation at the end - but either semi-colon or comma seem OK.
