Philippine Catholic Bishop Juan de Dios Pueblos should be ashame for asking the previous Philippine President (Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, worst president) a 4x4 luxury car worth P1.7 million ($39,568.18) as a birthday gift. This is the example of the letter he sent to former Philippine president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo: got this on the internet:

“I will be celebrating my 66th birthday on March 8, 2009. I know this will be a precious day and timely occasion to thank the Lord for giving me another year … After a prayerful discernment and due considerations to the existing crisis phenomenon today, I have decided not to hold a birthday party. Instead, I prefer to make use of my birthday as a day with and for myself, and with God.

“Having (been) declared, awarded and honored from your good office as ‘Peace Champion of Caraga,’ I am grateful to God that He has made me an instrument of His peace, especially here in Mindanao. I know I can do more to promote and work for peace.

“It is in this view that I am asking a favor from your Excellency. At present, I really need a brand-new car, possibly a 4 x 4, which I can use to reach the far-flung areas of Caraga. I hope you will never fail to give a brand new car which would serve as your birthday gift to me. For your information, I have with me a 7-year-old car which is not anymore in good running condition. Therefore, this needs to be replaced very soon.

“I am anticipating your favorable response on this regard. Thank you very much. Be assured of my constant support and sincerest prayers to your Excellency.”

According to the Philippine constitution: Article 6, Section 29 of the Constitution bans the use of government funds for any sect, church, religion or priest except when they are assigned in the military, jail, government orphanage, or leprosarium.

The letter states that the bishop is using the poor for his own needs. Instead of asking a luxury car, why not a van? a multicab or a jeepney. Lots of passengers will be carried with these type of vehicles. Corruption in the Philippines is at worst. He, the bishop is clearly involved in bribe or I should day he solicited a BRIBE. Same bishop wanted our dear current President, Benigno Aquino Jr. to resign 'coz he dont deserve to be the President of the Philippines.

Now, Catholic Church, bishops, priest, etc. keep bashing homosexual coz it's IMMORAL. Philippine Catholic Bishops aren't favor of divorce and RH Bill coz it's a mistake in the Eyes of God. Do they think that this SO CALLED GOD SENT individual's doing is not IMMORAL?? It's IMMORALITY. The bishop should step down as BISHOP. How can he deliver the words of GOD if he, himself aren't a role model to any Catholic individuals.

Where is the Transparency of the Church here? Where is Honesty here? This is bribery and it's so sad coz our dear bishops and priest were involved. Vatican should act with this problem 'coz it's the credibility of the religion and the priest were at stake here.
