Many people spend a lot of money, time , and effort just to get rid of their fat(to become slimmer or to lose some weight).

But in my case, I wanna gain some weight.

I love eating rice and all kinds of stuff.

I always eat at work. But still, I never get fat.

I need your advice TFD friends^,^

Thanks a lot in advance!

You don't want to be fat. Just eat a good variety of food, mostly vegetables and go for a good walk every day. You will weigh what is good and healthy for you.

In addition to healthy eating, you can lift weights to gain muscle. Work on your arms, chest, abs, and legs 3 to 4 times per week. The weight you gain will be muscle weight. As an addition to your weight lifting, you can consume protein powder.

I have the same dilemma last year. I eat a lot but I'm not gaining weight. A friend of mine recommended me to drink protein shakes. I only weigh 52 kilos and I'm 5'8 (come to think of that, but im not anorexic). A friend told me to try SERIOUS MASS by ON (Optimum nutrition). I tried it for 2 weeks and I gained 6 pounds. Now im weighing 72Kgs. and I'm loving my body and how I look. It boost my self confidence. Also, you need to wieght lifts and exercise to gain weight. Eat lots of carbs, calorie and protein foods. Im sure you're gonna gain weight and have the body you wanted.

Is there a reverse version of gastric bypass surgery whereby you can enlarge your stomach? Trouble is it might do the job too well and you'd be under the knife every six months to correct the previous op.

Nish, the body weight may depend upon biology of your body. You may stay slim even after eating a lot of proteins. Just try to remain healthy. On the contrary, one may look obese even if they eat half of what you eat.

If you are too skinny, you can trying working out in gym, and taking diets as susggested by fitness trainer. This will help you gain some weight and shapely body too. Supplements of protein and calcium are helpful.

Losing weight is maybe difficult. But gaining weight is easy. Here are some my tips:
1. Eating lots of calories

Have you ever tried to calculate your calories intake in the body? Because knowing the number will help you determine how many calories you need to achieve the body’s goal of putting on a few pounds. Once you hope to gain weight steadily and slowly, about 300-500 calories more than your body burns per day is enough and 700 to 1000 calories more than the maintenance level for those who want to gain weight faster. A day with three big meals full of calorie-rich foods, sometimes, does not make you comfortable but it is widely known as the best way to gain weight fast.

2. Drinking plenty of water

Undeniably, water is packed with numerous and incredible health benefits including promoting weight gain and playing such a vital role in helping your body deal with the excessive intake of protein as well as calories. Drinking some glasses of water in every single dish is beneficial for not allowing your body to get dehydrated. You can also consume some certain types of drink such as unsweetened tea, healthy beverages or fruit juices. Alternatively, do remember to ward off drinking Gatorade or any sport drinks in the increasing amounts as they are loaded with lots of sugar.

3.Engaging in a late dinner

A late dinner or a midnight snack is not apparently allowed when you are trying to get some pound lost; however, the opposite is true when you are in all attempts to gain weight fast. Before going to sleep, you can eat a small dinner or have a snack. This method is regarded as an impressive way to provide you with more calories while they do not have the chance to burn off yet.

A steady diet of this will grant you your wish, and help you achieve your goal. You can do it!!! It's not difficult at all!! Good luck to you.

Peace.

Eating until you are too full also stretches the stomach.

This is my only now.

I love eating rice . . .

Regards,

I ate - and still do! - rice, usually sushi mixed with sweet rice for breakfast with raisins. Oatmeal, bananas, and brown sugar. Baked potatoes. Mashed potatoes. Pasta. Olive oil. Mixed steamed rice. Steamed fresh organic vegetables. Fresh organic fruit. Organic ice cream. Organic butter on my mashed potatoes. Grass fed non-CAFO beef, chicken, and pork. Fish.

In 2014, I, at 5' 5", went from 80# in the hospital the first week of January to 130# by the end of summer. (Out of the hospital in a week!)

All I cared to eat, any time I was hungry.

Just eat lots of good healthy food. Junk food still isn't a good idea.

And if your low weight bothers you, please, by all means, talk to your doctor! Don't depend on us for medical advice!!!!!!! d'oh!

This is my only now.

You do know this was five years ago? I think Nish has moved on to other things.

But I am glad it worked for you! Applause Sounds good. Except for the raisins. Silenced

Of course, as a science nerd my immediate reaction was....

....Go to Jupiter (NASA has an app where you can ride along on the Juno probe - but I am not sure if the weight works virtually)...Whistle

My science nerd reaction would say if we are talking as a science nerd weight is measured in newtons not pounds or kilograms.
But it is a great graphic though .

I lack the imagination for a witty signature.

Good spot.

Ah, but pounds are weights, in the US system, aren't they? The mass unit is a slug.
1 lb = 1 slug x 1 ft/s^2
??

One thing to thank the French for. Simpler maths! And cheese.

Right about the kilograms, though. No change in mass. Bad graphic Shame on you

If you look at many basic English dictionaries in British English they describe pounds as a unit of weight as well, it's just us science nerds who know better.

Hi there,

Have you tried Ensure? I don't know for you but it usually helps me gain weight within one week. You also need to add more plant based protein, such as quinoa, on your diet.

The gaining or losing weight is directly genetics (genes)dependents. No other factor.
