I know what you mean - the same way the UK insists on Northern Ireland being in the UK - just because England stole some of the land there hundreds of years ago and planted colonists.

And the 'natives' of North America are apparently genetically from central Eurasia - Kazakhstan, Mongolia and surrounding areas.

Which brings me to:

I will send you a private message in response to this. Perhaps.

Scott Kelly must be Indian-cum-Kazakh.

Why don't you give the name of the hat? We call it 'колпак' but we will give the same appellation to the classic British dunce cap:

I didn't know the name of it - the picture title I had just said 'Kazakh hat'.
Kolpak, is it?

Take no notice of what the UK government think (or say they think). They are no more honourable than any other government, really - maybe a little better than some, a little worse than others.

Schoolboys, eh, Schlook?

Till Eulenspiegel is a trickster figure originating in Middle Low German folklore. He appeared in chapbooks telling episodes that outlined his picaresque career in Germany, the Low Countries, Denmark, Bohemia, Poland, and Italy. He made his main entrance in English-speaking culture late in the nineteenth century as "Owlglass". However, he was first mentioned in English literature by Ben Jonson in his comedic play The Alchemist, or even earlier – Owleglasse – by Henry Porter in The Two Angry Women of Abington (1599).
