Thank you, Chuck. We will miss you.

... and tell Tchaikovsky the news. Whistle

I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger. (Anon)

An absolute master of the guitar and stage.

His live performance in Toronto 1969 with the Duck Walk and the splits. (Johnny B. Goode)

And I could not help but add Marty McFly's version, which he stole from Chuck Berry, who stole it from Marty McFly.

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter. ― Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

One of the Greats. R.I.P.

(and long live Rock'n Roll)

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Marty McFly does the duck walk with the right leg stretched and Chuck Berry does it with the left leg stretched. That's interesting-- I would say (on the basis of the videos) that both of them are right handed.

Chuck Berry was in jail in Missouri for some reason when The Beatles made their first record in England in Oct. '62,
but even in jail he was making music.

A month after he was released from jail in Oct. '63,
JFK was assassinated. It was a time in a dark shadow.

Next year bands like The Beatles/The Rolling Stones came to America with rock and roll music which gave brightness to America.

Members of those bands stated Chuck Berry was their master.
Those words gave him brightness and energy too.

He was more loved and respected among professional musicians rather than regular people.

I read it in today's morning paper (in Japanese).
