Why Trump Needs to Pay Attention to Russia (and I don't mean his scandal) Options

I prepared this research for another thread but maybe it needs a thread of its own. Almo says Russia is no threat, that if anything it is Canada and the US that have been on the offensive.

What does the rest of the world know about this? Any comments?

QUOTE - "Last March, for example, Putin oversaw the largest Arctic war games ever: 35,000 Russian troops, 50 surface ships and submarines along with 110 aircraft.

It's been reported that Russia has developed plans to deploy 80,000 troops to the Far North in a crisis.

Russia's Arctic buildup sent shockwaves through the Pentagon, and helps explain President Barack Obama's three-day trip to Alaska in September to highlight America's need to take the Arctic more seriously." END QUOTE

This is WHY TRUMP NEEDS TO PAY ATTENTION TO RUSSIA!

Russia already allegedly interfered in our politics similar to with the US - see story about Chrystia Freeland - and with Brexit.

Hope123 quoting from cbc.ca: "It's been reported that Russia has developed plans to deploy 80,000 troops to the Far North in a crisis."

I wonder if The Parser was the source of this reporting and CBC just up and ran with it, eh? Eh?
Seem to remember him being chastised in this forum for having used similarly vague manner of attributing--though for different reasons, methinks. Let's watch for the proverbial beam in the eye, shall we?

To be more specific, and seriously, isn't "It's been reported" even worse than news originating from "senior officials" and other pettifogging anonymous sources we've been copiously fed lately?
It should be, since probably it's been reported already as coming from such sources, and now for good measure, it can be claimed that "it's been reported". Why quote something like that?

Anonymous sources are always a headache for the news media. Sometimes people just cannot have their name mentioned. But the CBC with responsible investigative journalists, are not Parser and have checked out their sources.

They know them even if they can't print them.

We do have military bases in the Arctic. But that's only to train the troops to act in all kinds of weather. It's not that we are preparing to cross the ocean.

Canada drills their military in the North too:
