Scientists believe that an elephant-mammoth hybrid embryo could be created within as little as two years. Should they go ahead? What will be the effect of resurrection?

I think that if the possibility exists to resurrect such a great animal that we should go ahead and do it!

I am not so sure, it would not have real Mammoths to socialise with, to learn behaviour from and its ecological niche no longer exists.

You would be creating a chimera that has only one future to exist as a curiosity in a zoological park.

I lack the imagination for a witty signature.

There seems to be no real concern about the rate at which mankind is making other species extinct; does it matter about the rate at which we make them non-extinct? Think

Think of it,not only would we be able to eat genetically modified beef; genetically modified mammoth would also be an option.

Yes, an alternative food source, and one more issue to protest and demonstrate about.

It is true, though, that technology shapes reality, and science fiction becomes science fact.

Signs warning drivers to beware of mammoths crossing the roads might well become a common sight in some of the world's more northerly areasThink
