The Mexican state of Jalisco appears on the verge of a massive coup. Jalisco (the Mexican Silicon Valley) is using the confusion and anger at the current US administration's ham handed attempt to ban Muslims in order to bring US tech companies over the border en masse. Jalisco Governor Aristóteles Sandoval will soon be meeting with leaders from 13 major tech companies and 30 to 40 startups to discuss the benefits of moving their operations to Jalisco.

The Mexican states of Querétaro, Hidalgo, Puebla, and the federal district of Mexico City are also ramping up their courtship of foreign businesses, offering what they say is a friendlier business environment than what the US is now offering.

Good for them.

No, darn. That puts them in competition with Canada!

It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.
