Dear Forum Users,

We need to add a few phrases to our mobile app interface.

Can you help us by translating these phrases into Dutch?

"Please wait..."

and

"Cannot load."

Thank you!

Sincerely,

"Please wait..." I think the most common and therefore best translation is “Even geduld a.u.b.
This is also used on television if a broadcast is shortly interrupted. It means “A short moment of patience please”
Another possibility would be “Even wachten a.u.b” (wachten = wait), but “Even geduld a.u.b.” sounds a little more polite.

For the word “please” we have not a short translation because we use it in combination with two other words: “als u blieft
Just like the French “s'il vous plaît” = “s.v.p.” we use the abbreviation “a.u.b.”

"Cannot load." is: “Kan niet laden” or “Laden niet mogelijk” = “loading not possible”
