...And then there's Pigpen... the epitome of originality and a staunch supporter of Al Franken... because he's good enough, smart enough, and doggone it, the men just love him.

Isn't that the cutest thing. Name calling. I do feel like I'm back in grade school.

Interesting that Miss Polo criticizes someone for being unoriginal and then goes on to display her own lack of original thought in the same breath as she steals the SNL quote.
As for Al Franken, women love him too. He's been married to one of them for 40 years or so.

...As well you should! Right back in the very same grade level you dropped out of. Whistle

I found a poem that I thought must certainly have been written for Miss Polo, and although I'm not the poet that she believes I am, I thought I'd share it. It's written by Samuel Hoffenstein.

Your little hands,
Your little feet,
Your little mouth—
Oh, God, how sweet!

Your little nose,
Your little ears,
Your eyes, that shed
Such little tears!

Your little voice,
So soft and kind;
Your little soul,
Your little mind!

Time to ban every public display of affection! Kissing? Eww, gross. Holding hands? Get a room, you people! Keep a distance of at least 3ft from anyone in public. Now that we're at it: don't look anyone in the eyes, for any reason - and for the love of all that is holy, don't breathe in anyone's general direction.

Or, maybe we're should focus on who was really at fault: the people who attacked the man. As far as I'm aware, the law is not too arbitrary when it comes to that kind of assault.

Eye contact with what? I suppose they could issue everyone with blindfolds but then, if something did happen, you wouldn't know who to complain about.

Dragonspeaker:

Could you tell us where that sign appears?

Then maybe members could comment on its significance.

Thank you

On the internet - just Google "Images signs eye contact".

My opinion is that it is a joke (it is made to look like the sort of sign one would find on the London Underground).

"Someone" has been posting them surreptitiously in the tube.

I like what NKM says. People who are restricted to a single way of approaching life will find themselves unhappy / upset / angry / irritated / annoyed almost all the time.

In addition to that, I have found that, when I hate on something, most of the time it's because of my own hang-ups rather than how that something actually affects my life.

Yes. Yes, gays should absolutely kiss in public. And anyone who doesn't want to watch, can close their eyes or turn away. They do not have the right to do anything else.

Some people would say that if a straight male is allowed to kiss his significant other in public, then it is only fair that a gay man have the same right.

Some people would say that a gay man should realize that public kissing is likely to enrage some males who are sexually insecure or perhaps mortified by a past gay experience.

There is simply no excuse for one person to attack another for simply showing affection to his partner. While seeing two men kiss would not offend me in the least, seeing someone being beaten up for kissing another would be horrible to witness. However, I would be willing to bet that the one who got beaten up was probably a lot smaller than the one who victimized him. Since gay men come in all sizes, the person doing the punching is just a bully. Here are a few names of gay men who are unlikely to be punched for kissing their partner in public:

Kwame Harris. Sport: Football Height: 6 ft 7 in (2.01 m) Weight: 320 lb (145 kg)

John Amaechi. Sport: Basketball Height: 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m) Weight: 270 lb (122 kg)

Jason Collins. Sport: Basketball Height: 7 ft 0 in (2.13 m) Weight: 255 lb (116 kg)

Esera Tuaolo. Sport: Football Height:6 ft 2 in (1.88 m) Weight: 281 lb (127 kg)

Darren Young. Sport: Professional Wrestling. Height: 6 ft 1 in (1.85 m)[3]
Weight: 239 lb (108 kg)
