What is your take on fate and destiny? What is fate or destiny? Is everything really pre-determined?

Of course not.

Look, how about this? Let's pretend we've had the row and I've won. See? It saves a lot of effort.

Well it really depends on what you mean by predetermined, as well as on what timescale, and by what?

Well, if it were my wyrd to answer this post, and I did, it would have been useless to have the post to begin with.

If there are gods (or is a god), they/he/she/it would not create a physical universe with everything pre-planned. That would have no purpose.
The gods would not have a game if every action were fully laid out in advance.
A game has to have some non-prediction.

As my signature says - "'Fate is all laid out in advance' - Bull!"

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, there is no evidence at all so the claim has no reasonable grounds.

That is why not.

Again depending on what is meant by predetermined, and if the question is also framed with reference to freewill, it seems to me that the existence of freewill is the extraordinary claim. Explaining behavior without freewill is much easier and requires no appeals to supernatural, or entirely made up natural influences.
