She went to her doctors to see if she would take chemo, the doctor said no, last month she had a masectomy and waited on her next answer, again her answer was no. So why can't modern medicine cut out my emotions and and just leave me with my memory that I can say no to? Writer one Pray Dancing Applause

WOW! Congratulations to your wife - that is GREAT news!

On the 'operation' to remove your emotions . . . there is one, it's called a pre-frontal lobotomy.
Unfortunately, as well as removing normal emotions, it tends to destroy intelligence and a lot of one's physical coordination.

Not quite 'side-effect free' so I wouldn't advise it.

My friend DragOnspeaker,
As for a frontal lobotomy I pass, I got a memo for energy in humans. It's a spiritual thing and it's deep. It backs up spiritual thought. Pretty deep stuff. Your thoughts on this energy humanity thing. It's got my attention. As for thoughts, "you are what you think" the bible. Writer One

For any Newbies, pljames' wife died a while ago. He moved and lives with his son and we hope he is doing as well as can be expected.

And it couldn't have been last month since I've addressed a condolence post to him in August, in the Philosophy & Religion forum...
Either he is confused or he means another wife (?). Either way, this "last month" mentioned here is upsetting.

You can see from the dates, it is the old thread which someone has found and added to.
I also hope Paul is doing OK.

Pljames started this thread in October 2015, so the "last month" makes sense.

Says the one who caused the confusion by replying to a topic that was eleven months stale as if it were current!
Shame on you
