My folks subscribed to Life magazine and I remember getting clippings for current events that we had in social studies. I don't remember this event. All the messes we have made. But on the other hand, the Panama Canal is a good thing for those people, I'm assuming. That was so hard to build and the military still hadn't come off the high of the victory in WWII. It was another time from now, but if we could see our history you would have thought it would have taught us something. We can change where ocean meet, and move swamps, but we can't change human nature.
