Since 2009 March, the shares prices of the world has started to recover from its lowest ever seen due to sub-prime debacle 2007 and negative forward economic outlook 2008. Today Wall Streets has climbed back to 115xx points but still falls short of the 14xxx before the crash in 2007. Will 2011 be another good year for stock? What is your take?

This is what I do for a living and I can tell you, like most "average years" there are some really good stocks to consider. Of course, events that are unforseen in the future could affect the market as a whole and no matter how good a stock, company or analysis, it could be bad. My take on it is invest in a company that has weathered a bad market and recovered before. Your best bet is to put a comfortable amount into a stock that you can afford to take a loss on if it so happened. I have a few that I love and think will do quite well in 2011, but that is my opinion and not advice. The market should continue it's recovery, it just will not be a speedy one.

I agree with you that 2011 will be another good year for equities in the world to some extent and properties in Asia. If the employment rate and properties market in US further improve, I think we should have a longer sustainable bull run. My two cents view. Hope anyone else can throw more light in this aspect.

I also expect the recovery in equities to continue in the New Year. In general, I steer clear of commodities, and even more so this year. I believe that gold is overpriced, and a realignment is due.

What is the prospect of BP share? Both short and long term.
