The Peace Palace Opens in The Hague (1913)

Often called "the seat of international law," the Peace Palace houses the Permanent Court of Arbitration, the Hague Academy of International Law, and the International Court of Justice, which is the primary judicial body of the United Nations. The palace was conceived in the early 20th century and was funded by American industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. To show their support for the project, many nations sent gifts for use or display in the palace, including what items? More...

Despite the fact that these glamorous "palaces" of peace exist, the wars won't end as long as there is the military evil getting more money from taxes to produce weapons instead of disarm and disable all the existing weapons in the world. One of the greatest minds Albert Einstein and his wife Mileva warned the world that the only way to stop the complete destruction of this planet is to disable all weapons, and let the military do peace jobs, like boot camps, etc., and money must not be given toward any weapon production... Hey world, awaken, and open your mind's eye... don't wallow stupidly in the military indoctrination.... the spiritual discipline is far superior to the military "discipline" of planned killing and territory, "power" greed, sick patronizing of others...

“Our Work Here, is the Direct Result of Grotius’ Work at the End of the 17th Century”
August 28 is a special day for the Peace Palace as this day is our Anniversary! Today, 28 August 2015, it is 102 years ago that the opening ceremony of the Peace Palace took place. It is also the anniversary of the death of Hugo Grotius. Grotius, who died in 1645, is recognized as the founder of the vision of International Law of which the Permanent Court of Arbitration is an expression. During the opening ceremony, Abraham Pieter Cornelis van Karnebeek, former Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the Board of the Carnegie Foundation, emphasized that the Peace Palace would not only be ‘the workplace where people would endeavour towards the reign of Peace through Law’, but also ‘a symbol’ for everyone who believed in the ideal ‘of civilization, that there would be no more wars between the Nations’. In that same spirit we, the people of Peace Palace, continue to strive for Peace. Every day!

"In that same spirit we, the people of Peace Palace, continue to strive for Peace. Every day!"

The Peace Palace has watched all these decades and centuries how the weapon production has expanded under the evil military supervision and direction of the military "science", and zillions of tax money wasted on weapon production and support of the military evil, but has not done anything to take the money away from the military so that their sick control, bully "power" can be stopped once and for all. If the intimidated citizens did not allow money/funds to be allocated toward the military and their weapon maintenance and expansion, then we would have the proof that the Peace "palace" was really doing something to demilitarize the world, and disable all the weapons.
