My son was a part of an organization called the Society for Creative Anachronism or SCA as it was commonly called. He engaged in many battles and had a wonderful time at the renaissance fairs. Every year they meet in the mountain near me and have a three day “battle.” The costumes are wonderful and many participants are now adults who have been members for many years.
