The scientists, pharmacists, and medical specialist are doing a lot to save humanity from dangerous diseases. The treatment and cure of many diseases have not been found yet. Cancer is one such condition where building block of the human body, the cells, starts dividing in an abnormal way. Why still a secret. Such cells can be of any organ of the live human body. Cancer of the Colon is fairly common. If taken care of at an early stage, it can be cured from spreading to nearby organs (metastasis) and hence death.
When colon cancer is suspected, a healthcare professional performs a number of tests to confirm the diagnosis and locate the exact point. One such process is Colonoscopy.
Colonoscopy is a procedure whereby a health care professional inserts a long, flexible viewing tube into the rectum for the purpose of inspecting the inside of the entire colon. Colonoscopy is generally considered more accurate than barium enema X-rays, especially in detecting small polyps which may result in developing a full-fledge disease. If colon polyps are found, they usually are removed through the colonoscope and sent to the pathologist. The pathologist examines the polyps under the microscope to check for cancer. Colonoscopy is the best procedure to use when cancer of the colon is suspected. While the majority of the polyps removed through colonoscopes are benign, many are precancerous. Removal of precancerous polyps prevents the future development of colon cancer from these polyps.

One should never take lightly the chronic digestive problems, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation,

HI TME.

Yes, this is a good public service announcement. I had 9 colonoscopies (unusual problem) and they are no big deal. The worst part is the prep the day before. But you feel so good afterwards. I'm down to one every five years now.

I remember the doc saying to me, “I'm glad I didn't find this five years from now.” PS - I was glad too!

If they don't find anything the test is not repeated for ten years. If they do remove polyps the test is usually in five years and you are being monitored which is great.

Get one at age 50 or at age forty if there's a family history of cancer or polyps.

Be smart. Just do it.

Equality is when you see a person - not a label.

Hey Hope123, what are your thoughts, if any, on Nigella Sativa (Black Seed Oil)?

He learns not to learn and reverts to what all men pass by.
