Last month, a lot of people complained about a "voice drop" on their mobile phones in my city.

What is a "voice drop"? Thanks.

It's not a common term.
Speculating, it could mean ...
1. The voice disappeared entirely.
2. The voice volume decreased.
3. The voice disappeared intermittently.

It sounds like what we would call a "dropped call", or a "call-drop", when the connection simply disappears/fails.
