What does the phrase " organic panel surfaces " mean here?

Intima's exterior styling matches the interior's artistic image, with a design that combines sharp-edged lines and organic panel surfaces. "The balance of these two elements creates a refined mood based on the ideas of 'relaxation' and 'comfort," explained Saito.

Do they mean natural by the word organic?

What about the surfaces? Do they mean how the panels look?

"Organic" is sometimes used to indicate that a visual design exhibits flowing, "natural-looking" lines, as opposed to sharp angles and boundaries.

I think that's what is meant in this example.

I took it to mean that the surfaces would be (probably) wood, and be of the type of wood indigenous to the area (note the comment about how the exterior and interior style complement each other).

I agree with NKM.

This blurb is intended to suggest that the design is integral, rather than assembled from unassociated parts.

"Make it go away, Mrs Whatsit," he whispered. "Make it go away. It's evil."

So, does the surface here means appearance?

The appearance of the panels look natural.

Sorry, I didn't see your additional question until just now.

That is a good way to interpret it. The problem is that this is a style of speech that is intended to be suggestive rather than explicit. To be honest, I suspect that the writer doesn't know what it means, just that it piques the interest of a potential buyer.

You might as well ask me to explain where "fine Corinthian leather" comes from.

"Make it go away, Mrs Whatsit," he whispered. "Make it go away. It's evil."

I first thought of 'natural, not man-made' - wood and maybe hessian panels - but the sentence contrasts "organic panel surfaces" and "sharp-edged lines", so 'flowing'.

Geometric lines - lines which follow rules

Organic lines - lines which don't follow rules
