Hi everyone,

I haven't posted anything in ages. But I use the site for my work.

I was trying to check the various meanings of a word but the dictionary wouldn't load. I got the "Something went wrong ..." message. However, I had no problems with the Thesaurus. I tried back and forth, reloaded, disabled Adblock and all to no avail. It will not work.

What can I do? Am I the only one with this problem? I seem to remember getting that message long ago but it still worked and one day went away (if I remember correctly).

Thanks for any help!

Hi blue2!

If you're seeing this message, please pause the ad-blocker while using The Free Dictionary. The ad-blocker recently made changes that do not allow the site to function properly, resulting in the blocking of both ads and content.

For some reason, I've got Adblock and ABP.(I need to sort that out.) Both are now disabled for the site and it's working perfectly. Thanks for your help! TFD is indeed the best reference tool!
