I do not really understand why Yelena asks for forgiveness... and even on behalf of the whole country.
Polish experts will soon make public their findings but even now it's clear that we can't blame the country. Such a crush could happen anywhere on the Earth providing that all unfortunate factors are in place.

I think offering the condolence is the right thing to do.
My sincere condolences to the Poles.

Ya, why the need to be apologetic? Of course, we are all sorry for the sad demise of the honorable president of a nation.

Gotcha, bud, again

Welcome to TFD forums, enw. :)

Thanks for your kind words and the condolences. I agree with your opinion, and I'm sure that no one is to blame the country for this tragic crash. Polish and Russian experts are still conducting an investigation. I think that prosecutors will reveal the outcome when they finish their works.

As it is the land of my ancestors, I feel a certain sense of loss, and I would like to extent my most sincere condolences to the Poles for their loss. You're in my thoughts and prayers.
