WaterLESS "bathing" Options

1. In Japan (an incredibly beautiful country with people who behave themselves), many people like to walk in the forests.

2. They call this "forest bathing."

3. It is believed that one breathes in oils from the trees.

4. This experience is believed to achieve three things:

a. decrease stress.
b. elevate your mood.
c. strengthen your immune system.

5. One should not walk more than 3 miles in four hours.

6. One should take rest breaks (sit, read, just observe the trees).

7. I think that anyone who has had the experience of walking through a forest will agree that it does relax one. "Getting back to nature" does seem to have a beneficial effect on human beings.

Apparently, briefly staring at trees or even just a picture of trees will relax a person.

interrupting a tedious, attention-demanding task with a 40-second “microbreak” — in which one simply looks at a computerized image of a green roof — improved focus as well as subsequent performance on the task.

So if we are forest bathing are we naked?, rather defeats the purpose if we have our raincoats on, or are we only cleansing the brain, god help us.

Waterless bathing in Australia is called 'a dirty wash and a clean wipe', and other less tasteful titles.

I certainly wouldn't call it waterless bathing - there's plenty of moisture in the air in the woods!
