What you need to play is:

* first and foremost, a group of people who want to play it with you - you can't play D&D on your own.
* a rulebook, and possibly also a monster manual, player guide, etc.
* miniatures to represent your characters
* lots of different dice (not just 6-sided, but also 4-, 8-, 10-, 12-, and 20-sided dice may be required)
* a lot of creativity, e.g. to create storylines and characters.

If you google "dungeons and dragons starter set", I'm sure you'll find plenty of websites where you can buy the basic necessities. As to people you can play it with: perhaps you can also check on the internet, or ask around if there's anyone you know who already plays D&D. Where I live there's plenty of games stores that organize events and help people to find gaming groups, but I've no idea if there are any such stores where you live...

If it helps, here's an introduction on D&D: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76yhnu4Kwew
