What is the Best translation for the portuguese word "Informatica"? Options

How do i say "informatica" in english?
Like, "Computer Course", but more basic... Basic "informatica" and so on :D

Do you mean the science that studies computation, programming, software, hardware and the like?

That could be "Computing Science" I've seen people referring to this discipline as computer or computers science, but I believe the first use is more appropriate.

use: I study Computing Science at the university.

Um termo bastante usado é IT (Information Technology).

Por exemplo, no currículo, onde você coloca sua experiência em informática, você pode por "IT skills".

Ou, também, existem vários "IT courses" que vão do "beginners ao advanced". O curso para beginners pode ser considerado uma introdução à informática.

Espero ter ajudado. Se colocar o contexto, talvez eu possa colaborar mais.

hmm, sei. Nao sabia que IT poderia ser usado nesse jeito.
Eu queria saber como eu poderia dizer tipo "Livro de Informatica", "Curso de informatica basica" e tal...

Aqui é bem comum usar 'basic IT course', por exemplo quando o curso é elaborado para pessoas que nunca tiveram acesso a computador, etc.

Também é usado 'basic IT skills' para quem não entende muito de computadores.
