Hear, hear and YEA. On the other hand, maybe its subject should be scientific and technological terms to prolong the illusion that these fora are actually about language.

A science and technology forum would be a good idea. I've been agitating for a Political Forum but TFD has been very quiet.

Yoo Hoo....TFD....you out there? Yes, no, maybe? We see you lurking in the shadows. ;-)

that's a good idea.

My position concerning God is that of an agnostic. I am convinced that a vivid consciousness of the primary importance of moral principles for the betterment and ennoblement of life does not need the idea of a law-giver, especially a law-giver who works on the basis of reward and punishment.-Albert Einstein

I would like to see this.

Is this a poll?

No thanks, we don't need one.

There is enough room already, maybe when a thousand more people start posting at the knowledge/culture forum.

why so, if so.

i was actually wondering if enough people like something, then if TFD would consider or it is only an open forum for discussions and opinions.

not sure if there is ever a resolution for anything, except that TFD is an outlet for expression.

thx.

Maybe that Computing-Forum could be renamed to Tekkie-arena.

Hi usr123638,

My post is a play on what you see in the lower right corner of this page. (See below) I'm just trying to get administraton to give us a Polling Thread somewhere on TFD forums. It would be interesting to see where people stand on things without having to actually post a long winded disclaimer.

At least if a poll does go up, somehow, we're allowed to vote on it.

Renaming "Computing" to "Science and Technology" is a good idea. We don't need another subforum just for it, though.
