 by Vasily Polenov At first glance (it was part of an art exhibition I visited), I wasn't too attracted to this painting, but since I read about how Vasily painted this piece while grieving over his lost son, I find it very touching.

The peacock was my association to the ambulance car (the second picture above the peacock).
