The excessive debates among Republican candidates, with no clear leading candidate, could play into favour for the Democrats.

Seriously there are not many issues to be concerned about. The punishment to the terrorist had come to an end, by virtue of soldiers returning to USA. Homeland Security which was instituted by Pres. Bush is functioning and it does show there is a sense of security in USA.

Republicans have made strides since 2010 mid term elections. There is no need for implicating Republican party in minor personality differences over which candidate is most suitable for 2013.

The economy in the last few decades had seen Boom time under the Republican party government. Would be nice to see the Republicans have a president and majority in congress. It would be especially rewarding to see a majority in the Senate, but some might say thats asking for too much. However general well being of Americans is better suited with a Republican government, one that is in full control, with a win in Senate would encourage it.

Help Republicans Win 2013.

Good answer TL
I suspect the NZ location is only a location. There is a huge US flag flying in the background...

I find it amazing how different people perceive facts with each their own political blinkers. What Boom time?? The current US mess is a Republican inheritance. True, no party has the perfect solutions but I think that a change in direction will further lead the US into decline. I'd like to see the vast sums of money in mud slinging electoral advertising go to better use. I could go on...

A Star in the Morning, going by his style of writing, is not a "Kiwi".

Regardless of that, the US/Australian treaty is strong and where ever you find an Aussie fighting, you will find a NZ-er close by. That is of course it isn't at a game of football, cricket, or any other sport, where they most likely will be fighting each other.

We get quite a lot of US news here in Oz, and, from what I see as an independent observer, is that the Republicans are struggling to find a candidate of 'any calibre' to stand at the next election.
The US, under Bush, was struggling with an over commitment to keep armed forces in too many theatres of war, and, the death toll of US troops[and other nations] was spiralling upwards too fast for too little gain.
Obama has at least had the guts to stick with the withdrawal from an unworkable situation and bring troops home.
What he has achieved on the home front is a bit harder to judge from news reports, but, it is certainly more than the Republicans would have achieved, unless, their ideology changed dramatically.
Get used to the idea that Obama will win another term in office as he has been more successful than his predecessor.
Also the Republicans are desperately short of people of leadership quality going by who they have put forward so far.
None of them are a very impressive style of candidate to be the next US President.
Just my two cents worth.

All of you should see the ads going on in SC now. They are vile, vitrolic and just nasty. And they are not accurate. They are full of lies and falsehoods. The United Citizens decision has brought this about. Any rich person can form a Super Pac and run an ad, and it doesn't have to be true. All under the guise of free speecch. This is a travesty.

@Boneyfriend,

Yes, the best example being that Newt's campaign was broke, and he likely would have been a non-factor in S.C. but for a millionaire (billionaire?) that formed a PAC and donated 5 million in "dark money" to support Newt with attack ads v. Romney.

I've heard it has gotten pretty personal. To be fair to Newt, he was trying to run a positive campaign in Iowa when Romney's PACS did a hatchet-job on him with negative ads. The result seems to be vendetta.

Dems or Reps, whoever it will be, would pour billions of dollers into our (Pakistan's) millitary regimes and would put sanctions on our democratically ellected government. I think, the US millitary is responcible for controling a big portion of it's foriegn policy. The millitary and all the conservatives in the right wing Republican party should really be causious for Americas role in the next century's world, that Obama is rolling back.

Pakistanis has been in some cases, non-American voters of Republican Party. Last time we "voted" for Obama but he responded us with bombings, increasing of friendly fires and financial embargoes.

No, more Dems.
