In backup process your files are packed (compressed) into one backup file. The method is similar to Winzip or any compression program.

Yes I understand that. However, what I am wondering about is the used space on my Hard Disk is 448GB of the total space 683Gb. However when I want to make a backup of my HD during the Acronis Image programme I have spotted that the estimated backup size is 268GB. My inquiry is where the 180GB is.

On top of that, I have an size of 300GB for Video files only, thus, I am very surprised that the estimated backup size is 268GB, altough the size of video files only is 300GB, What about the other files.

I could believe that a used area 445GB has been compressed into 268GB during the proccess of Backup.

Had you have a look at my picture?

It looks to me like you have a more urgent problem.

That 1.5 GB thumb drive is much too small to hold a backup from your computer.

I know that dirve whose capacity is 1.5GB is for free hosting file. I mean it is a network drive on the cloud.
My problem is as follows:

(Actually a .6 compression ratio seem outrageous to me. )

Try compressing some of your video files with any compression program (there are lots of freeware). You'll be surprised. Some already compressed image files, like JPG's won't be packed much more.
