My laptop HDD crashed just over a week ago, and I had it repaired. Since receiving it again, TFD loads up with a font so small, I damn near need a magnifying glass to read it.
It's getting really annoying to have to ctrl+scroll every time I change a page to be able to read it.
Oddly, it seems to be only TFD that has such a small font, so I'm wondering why.
I've tried everything I can find in Control Panel to increase the size of the font, but nothing works. Everything becomes huge except the font on TFD.
The more I use Windows 7, the more I dislike it. My PC using XP displays TFD fine, so it's got to be this POS.
Any ideas anyone?

Any ideas anyone? Have you tried, please pardon the expression, tossing your cookies? It sounds like there is a persistent setting in a cookie that is keeping the fonts at TFD at a certain size. I realize a lot of other convenient settings are often kept in cookies as well, so if you feel up to it you might try deleting just the cookies for this site.

Yep, did that. I make a habit of clearing out the trash after each session online. Also, it's not like other sites are LARGE fonts, just larger than TFD, so it seems odd. I'd like to see that 'text size increase' on the home page appear on every page, but that's not likely to happen.

I don't know FounDit, I use Firefox on a Linux machine, and have no trouble, if a site comes up with too small of font, I hit cntr/+ a couple times and that seems to permanently remedy it.
Question authority, before it questions you. How do you know, that you know, what you know?

If your mouse has a scroll wheel, press and hold Ctrl while scrolling up to zoom in and down to zoom out.
Hold Ctrl and + or Ctrl and -
Firefox has an add-on NoSquint that works well.

I've been using Firefox version 3.6.24.(new version was not yet good)
and it was really good with Windows XP so I was reluctunt to change it to Windows 7 (because Vista was not good)
but it turned out Windows 7 is very good with Firefox version 3.6.24.
much more user-friendly than XP.

Thanks JJ...didn't think to try IE, but when I did, it displayed like it used to, so the problem must be with FF.
I had to re-install everything all over again, and I've used FF for years. I really dislike using IE, but may have to choke on it if I can't figure it out. Maybe do another download of FF.

Have a look at Lunascape. It offers three different browser (rendering) engines: Gecko, Trident and WebKit and can adopt bookmarks and add-ons from IE and FF. I normally use FF, but also Lunascape for testing purposes.

I use CCleaner, usually running it after every session. It seems to do a great job of cleaning out the garbage.
JJ,
I have never heard of lunascape. I'll take a look at it.
I wonder now if, when I downloaded FF, I got a different version than the one before. I don't remember now what version it was, but this one is 8.0.1
However, songbird6's suggestion took care of the problem, so I'll see how it goes from here.
