16 years old. 5"5 tall, quite curvy in all the right places yet still sort of skinny (think Sophia Loren) with long, wavy dark brown hair. Dark brown eyes with long, full lashes. Small, thin nose and plump red lips. Olive/slightly crem skin tone. Dark, arched eyebrows. She is sweet yet passionate, intelligent yet naive, kind yet forcefull. She likes nature, flowers, shakespeare, literature, art, food, history, greek/roman mythology, and many, many other things. She has a sense of humor and a sweet nature. She is very protective of her family and friends. She is verrrry spirited, opinionated and has a lot of moral principals. She is often shy and quiet, but after a while she comes out of her shell and has an air of confidence around her that is almost unshakable. She is OBSESSED with Romeo and Juliet (hence the name) and believes heavily in destiny and soulmates, and believes finding her "Romeo" is of dire importance. She is a day-dreamer and loves independance and freedom. She has 2 sisters, Giovanna and Sophia. She is the middle child . P.S, Giulietta is the Italian version of Juliet - this character lives in Italy. But I don't know which SUITS her more... please help!!!

With all that quality I'd call her Maria ;-)

Before I comment on a choice of names you might want to re-think your ' moral principals'. I am sure you'll find some morally correct principals in American High Schools, but what you are looking for is ' principles'. As to names: Giulietta is perfectly all right, especially if you want to have the Shakespearian context. It is the diminutive form of Giulia, one of the most common girl's names in Italy. Other nice Italian names are Beatrice, Carlotta, Francesca, Eleonora ... But this is personal preference and you're sure to find some more on the web, for example HERE.

'A rose by any other name is still a rose'
What's In A Name? Christina Georgina Rossetti
Why has Spring one syllable less Than any its fellow season? There may be some other reason, And I'm merely making a guess; But surely it hoards such wealth Of happiness, hope and health, Sunshine and musical sound, It may spare a foot from its name Yet all the same Superabound.
Soft-named Summer, Most welcome comer, Brings almost everything Over which we dream or sing Or sigh; But then Summer wends its way, To-morrow,--to-day,-- Good-bye!
Autumn,--the slow name lingers, While we likewise flag; It silences many singers; Its slow days drag, Yet hasten at speed To leave us in chilly need For Winter to strip indeed.
In all-lack Winter, Dull of sense and of sound, We huddle and shiver Beside our splinter Of crackling pine, Snow in sky and snow on ground. Winter and cold Can't last for ever! To-day, to-morrow, the sun will shine; When we are old, But some still are young, Singing the song Which others have sung, Ringing the bells Which others have rung,-- Even so! We ourselves, who else? We ourselves long Long ago.
It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. Aristotle

Re: sister's name: There is no ph in Italian, so prior to international fame it would be Sofia.

To me, this is a mellow and innocuous thread.
@GeorgeV: was wondering about Sofia... I prefer this, and with stress on the "fia" (and with a long "i" sound).
All such pretty names... I have to play and take a stab at her full name--
Maria Cordelia Mariah Sofia Rosa Que Cosa! Eleonora ... Juliette Hayworth.

I like all the Italian names - particularly Eleonora (my daughter is Eleanor) - but Maria Cordelia Mariah Sofia Rosa Que Cosa! Eleonora is great! However, with her obsession for Romeo and Juliet, and her search for her Romeo, I think your Giulietta is perfect.
