Hi. I'd like to offer translation services between English and Czech to customers in the UK. The only problem is, I cannot offer these services to companies that are subject to VAT. If I did, I would have to register for VAT in my country, which I'd prefer not to.
I was thinking of starting cooperation with a British businessman who would serve as a middleman between me and the potential client in the UK. That way, VAT could be fully avoided making the service the more financially attractive to the client.
In that regard I have a simple question: Can UK entrepreneurs accept services from other non-VAT-payers in other European countries without becoming liable to VAT? (Provided their income remains within the given limits).
Thanks for answering.

You should get some help. From what I have seen done, that is not the case -though it may depend on where you are planning to do the job.
