That looks like a perfect setup for blood clots. Can't imagine anyone would agree to it.

If it were livestock being crammed in this way, animal rights activists would be vehemently opposing it. But since it's people, let's do it?

That looks very uncomfortable. Imagine seating there for hours; it even looks funny for god's sake!

I've seen better designed saddles, and more comfortable too. If they could work out a way to have us all stand up, I am sure they would. Gives 'cattle class' another dimension. Imagine 16 or 17 hours of that?

"But while the designers claim it does not affect passenger comfort, they say it would only be suitable for flights of up to three hours."
I certainly would not fly by cheapcraft.

Those seats are horrible. Are they out of their minds? How can "the designers claim it does not affect passenger comfort"? I have one question for the designers: While Quality Testing, did they themselves sit on those seats for more than 10 minutes?

Three hours... Three Hours... THREE HOURS??? Upon completion of the flight, you would need emergency medical treatment and a derrick for removal.

Perhaps they're meant for sages/rishis who meditate (not moving the body for hours togethter till the meditation is over)! Definitely, it is not for the lay people, especially ones like me, who can't remain still even for two minutes without body movement.

Aeroplane seats are uncomfortable enough as they are. My knees are always hitting the seat in front of me when I'm sitting on one. And since when are saddles comfortable? I rode horse a couple of times and I felt like I was constantly being spanked.

I look at the press photo and see a person who knows that they will be out of that torture rack in 5 minutes that they aren't 2 hours+ late for leaving the gate they don't have any luggage to lose and she is young and beautiful and with no health problem, that we know of, that will show up after she leaves to gig. Also Why is it illegal to torture a person who is an accused terrorist but a company can manufacture theses "seats" that torture the passenger of and airline does a terrorist have more rights then you???

Why don't they just place us in horizontal pods stacked one upon another and give us a cup to pee in! Think how many people Ryan air could fit in one of their craft, pod-wise.

NO,NO,NO they use catheters in you so you can't move therefore they can put more people, er cattle, in the hold. Also they can charge you more money to fly.

The last time I had to travel for business, I didn't fly. I drove more than 1100 miles one way. When I was younger there was a panache to airline travel. It was sexy, an adventure. Now you feel like a cow in a stockyard. I believe the cattle are treated better, at least up until that pneumatic hammer turns out the lights.
Of the last 4 business trips I flew on, 3 of them had flights canceled, delays, changes of gate, unscheduled stops, equipment failure....I will never fly again unless I have to cross the pond.

I saw this on the new the other day and a co-worker of mine stated... "oh... I'd do that... that's cheap money for a flight to New York from Boston... or even to Washington DC.. What's that...a half hour flight?" At this, I look at her and knew I couldn't stand her... I hate flying in general... so this seat could be free and I still wouldn't go on it... I'll take the train or drive if I want to go to New York or Washington DC... crazy B*tch...

As it is now I do not fly charter. I would rather pay a bit more for more room and some measure of security. Despite this,I am still not comfortable, and I am not a big person, just 5'2". Twice I arrived at my destination with swollen ankles and feet. How do taller, bigger people manage? Just look at the girl! Does she look comfortable?! She looks like she's sliding off.
