My argument is that "sin" is selfishness, pure and simple. By that I mean a person elevates their own desires above that which is considered good for other people. So "sin" has to hurt another person in some way, because it can be perfectly fine to do what is good for you if you hurt no other. This is the basis for law and morality.

At the same time, pleasure can be found in choosing to do what is considered "right" buy our collective group i.e, society. So pleasure itself is not necessarily a bad thing. Like with all things, it depends on how it is used.

So it isn't pleasure that drives men towards sin, it is elevating pleasure above right behavior (i.e., consideration of others) that results in what we call "sin". In our thinking and in our behavior, we should seek a balance, often described as "moderation in all things" in order to live the best we can.

Pleasure is A force that drives men to sin would be more correct. But still not absolutely true. Fear might drive a man to sin but pleasure might CAUSE a man to sin.
