In her latest Facebook post, Dr Lee Weiling charged that Late Lee Kuan Yew was misled by her brother, Lee Hsien Loong (LHL) into thinking that his 38 Oxley Road property had been gazetted by the Singapore government, causing him to change his will to bestow the house to LHL.

Is it correct to capitalise "late"?

Thanks.

Lower case is appropriate, because the word is not a part of the individual's title.

I would say (accepting this maybe regional/Indian English style)
the late Lee...

I am not sure property can be gazetted Think

He bequeathed the property if it was in his will.

To bequeath to...
To bestow upon...

"Gazetted" doesn't make sense to me.

The government announced the property in the newspaper? Why would that make him change his will?

Verb 1. gazette - publish in a gazette
print, publish - put into print; "The newspaper published the news of the royal couple's divorce"

Farlex Thesaurus.

Wyrd bið ful aræd - bull!
