One follows a noun, one follows a verb.

Noun. The result of something.
His success is the result of effort.

Phrasal verb - to result from - to be caused by
His success has resulted from effort

Phrasal verb - to result in - to cause
His effort has resulted in success

Anxious

___________

"Result" can be used as a noun or as a verb.

When used as a noun, the use of "result of" is more usual, as in:

- More often than not, accidents are the inevitable result of driving too fast.
- His constant cough is the result of many years of smoking.
- He developed myopia as a result of sitting too close to a computer monitor for lengthy periods of time.
- My neighbours believe that the death of their daughter was a direct result of medical negligence.
- The results of the terrorist attack included two helicopters burnt out, and three ground crew wounded.
- The results of our accountant's calculations show that the two managers had embezzled $200,000.

In my view, when the cause is mentioned later and its result is mentioned first, the use of "result(ed/ing) from" is possible. If something results from something else, it is caused by it.

- In the past year there have been at least eight deaths in custody which are said to have resulted from torture.
- We are still dealing with problems resulting from errors made in the past.

I hope it helps.
