Father's Day, Mother's Day, Teachers' Day

Do people in western countries celebrate Teachers' Day?

Thanks.

Not in the same way it's celebrated in Asia. But at least here in the UK it's getting more and more recognition, it appears to me.

It's not well known in the US. I had to Google it just now.

We don't all celebrate the same Mothers Day come to that.

Mothering Sunday in UK and Ireland occurs on the 4th Sunday of Lent which can be as early as the start of March or as late as the end.

Mothers Day in America and many other countries is in May.

It upsets my Mum, her eldest child now an Australian citizen 'forgets' to send her a card in March, and then mysteriously as far as she is concerned a bunch of flowers arrives in May. We have tried to get her to see it as getting two Mothers days, but she's old and forgetful now.

I lack the imagination for a witty signature.

A rather old joke:

Mother's Day comes nine months after father's day.
