Chemically, a drug usually will originally exist as a weak acid or base.
Why have they used the future simple "will originally exist and not the simple present?
What is grammatical function of" originally"?
I saw the above at Drugs.com

Hello Jigneshbharati.

I agree, it looks like a future 'tense'.

However, the auxiliary verb "will" (past tense "would") has several uses - only one of them is to produce a future form.

Some of them are hypothetical and some are tenseless (show something which happened in the past and can be expected to continue to happen in the future).

will
auxiliary v.andv., pres. will; auxiliary verb.
1. am (is, are, etc.) about or going to: I will be there tomorrow. She will see you at dinner.
2. am (is, are, etc.) disposed or willing to: People will do right.
3. am (is, are, etc.) expected or required to: You will report to the principal at once.
4. may be expected or supposed to: You will not have forgotten him.
5. am (is, are, etc.) determined or sure to (used emphatically): People will talk.
6. am (is, are, etc.) accustomed to, or do usually or often: She would write for hours at a time.
7. am (is, are, etc.) habitually disposed or inclined to: Tyrants will be tyrants.
8. am (is, are, etc.) capable of; can: This tree will live without water for three months.

Collins English Dictionary

This seems to be mostly definition 4 and/or 5 (with an inanimate subject, they mean really the same).

Chemically, a drug usually will originally exist as a weak acid or base.
Chemically, a drug usually may be expected to originally exist as a weak acid or base.
Chemically, a drug is usually sure to originally exist as a weak acid or base.

"Originally" is an adverb of time, modifying 'exist' - showing that you are talking about how the drug would be before processing.
"Usually" is an adverb of frequency, modifying "will" (or modifying "is sure" or "may be expected" in the other versions.)
