Hello respected teachers,

You will be thought of as a greedy pig.

What phrases/words could we use for the underlined please?

I am looking forward to your answers.

You will be looked upon as a greedy pig.

You will be labelled a greedy pig.

With any other word such as "labelled", "considered", "called" the idea is that this would be the public consensus. Companions have got together and discussed his eating habits (or whatever) and decided he's a greedy pig.

"Thought of" refers to a slightly more refined society - or social circle - where people wouldn't gossip about others behind their backs and call them names. However, watching him, each would be privately disgusted, and though they would keep the jibe to themselves, each would *think* he was a greedy pig.

Keep in mind always that the meaning of *each* word is very important in English: if you just decide to chuck in a synonym, the sense of the sentence will be changed. It might only be in a subtle way - but one that's very important both to the person who wrote it and those who read it.
