Nice furniture.
Their creators are opposing or exempt from military service? I think that both.
In the case of emergency, better leave them alone.

I think this article needs work. Some general statements are incorrect (some do use electricity, but are off grid). There are no sources and the links are broken. That said, the quality of their (the Amish) work is generally very high and there have been a few books written about the style, quality and woodworking methods.

I'm a woodworker myself, concentrating on pre-industrial woodworking tools and methods and have been learning about their methods.
