New quiz/game. Post a foto or gif of any place on Earth. try to make it a well know place to simplify things. The member with the correct answer has the floor and is able to post a new one. I will kick things off.
Name where this phenomenum occurs.

Dragon, use the button in TFD editor to make the image shown. Like this (use quote on this post to see how it looks):

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Very well done. I notioned that would not be answered immediately. Quite extraordinary that reflection of the stars on the sand and water. I did use that image but the link was all I got.

I am not sure is it at all good but to me it seems like Jyrkkä Jätkä is bestowed with certain kind of ET (Extra Terrestrial) power.

Who else would guess the location of the photo?

A very popular person called Mr Google Imagesearch.
One of the many by-lines of that image is:
"A tiny island in the Maldives is a popular spot for skinny dipping, because the water is literally a sea of stars.
When dusk falls the water surrounding Vaadhoo Island turns florescent."

That's from the Daily Express.

*************
That one is one I know - even without using the search facility.
Where else but the USA would you find an island made up of two PERFECT squares of land (plus a triangle or two and a causeway)?
It's Ellis Island.

Here's one

Many cities have big wheels and lots of lights, but there are several unique sights in this image.

Yeee? I didn't know. I am so old and technology is a mystery to me.

Thank you, anyway.

Drag0n,

that's Edinburgh, isn't it?

If so,

Yes - recognisable particularly from the Scott Monument and the fact that the gardens (Princes Street Gardens) basically sit on top of the railway station - the two-tier city, Edinburgh.

I would guess that your photo is somewhere in Finland - but that's my limit (and only a wild guess).
See if anyone gets closer.
