PETALING JAYA: Jailed opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim successfully underwent surgery on his right shoulder today, a statement issued by his family said.

The “arthroscopic” surgery was carried out at Hospital Kuala Lumpur by its surgical team.

The statement said Anwar was taken into the operating theatre at 9am and the procedure was completed about 1.30pm.

Shouldn't it be completed at about 1.30pm instead?

Thanks.

I think that, in AE, that's a common way to express it.

If we were being careful we'd probably say "at about 1:30 pm" or "by about 1:30 pm".

But we're not always that careful.
